Micro-Loan pilot proves huge success

Last year we started a micro-loan scheme with £100 revolving fund which has so far been paid back twice and benefited a total of 6 women, all widows or abandoned mothers of many children.
The lives of women have improved so dramatically that the word has spread and our office is being flooded with applications! We aim to launch a new 6-month loan and repayment cycle, benefiting 20 women.
A gift of £50 (or $67) can provide one woman with capital for starting a small business, typically based around selling vegetables or other food items within the camp.
